Calling

Dramatic catchphrase: One quick call lead up to finding my calling. Yes it's a telephone directory pun.
Well it all started in summer 2019. Back then, I was 16, in highschool and equipped with a solid plan for life: absolutely none. Then came the mandatory internship and by pure happenstance, I landed at this local agency after a quick call.

Within my two weeks, I got to learn just the very basics of the Adobe Suite and some crude HTML, but I was hooked. What started as curiosity quickly turned into obsession (the healthy kind). I started teaching myself more during highschool before eventually graduating and coming back to the same agency for apprenticeship and employment. During my four years there, I received many possibilities to not only work for clients, but for also for in-house projects and communication. Here are some of my highlights.

Social media

Being the youngest among the experienced team and also part of the all so beloved, digital native, phone addicted Gen-Z, I got to participate in creating social media content for our trainee account as well as the umbrella brand account.
From funny videos and catchy thumbnails to bold graphics and advertisements – I've seen all sides of the spectrum. In comparison to dopamine filled memes, creating brand content that people don't skip by was much more challenging, but also tonic for development.

Print

As much as digital media have spread, print media still have a big market value and can't be neglected. They are not dead, just a little less loud. As they are still needed a lot, I was often asked to design flyers, sales documents and more.
Unlike digital work, you can't adjust or fix anything later. Once it's printed, you are stuck with it, so watch o ut! But no pressure.

Video

Working with clients means more than just delivering visuals. It is essential to also listen and capture the feedback. That's why we drove out to film vidieo testimonials. In this expamle, I was responsible for composition, lighting and colorgrading, while sound and interviewing were handled by colleagues. You can find the full video here.
